About the private session

Our “Furnace for rent” experience gives you exclusive access to a real Murano Glass Furnace, where expert masters guide you into the art of glassmaking.

After a short introduction and live demonstration, you’ll collaborate with the artisans to design your own piece—choosing colors, shape, and style. Whether it’s a vase, a bowl, or another creation, you decide if you want to take part in the making process or simply watch.

Together with our masters, you’ll bring your idea to life and leave with a unique, one-of-a-kind artwork—an unforgettable memory of Murano.

What you’ll actually do — Step by Step

One-to-one welcome & creative brief
You’ll be welcomed into the furnace workshop for a private introduction with the glassmaster. Together, you’ll discuss the type of object you’d like to create, the shapes and colors you’re drawn to, and the level of involvement you prefer during the session.
Create beside the artist
In a calm, focused atmosphere, you’ll step into the role of co-creator. Whether assisting the artisan at the bench or trying the tools yourself (depending on your comfort level), you’ll take part in the shaping, blowing or decorating of a unique object — your object.
Finalization, signature & memory
Once the piece is complete, the artisan will apply finishing touches and sign it as a one-of-a-kind artwork. It will then be cooled safely and prepared for you to collect (or ship). You’ll leave not just with a Murano piece — but with the memory of having shaped it yourself, in total privacy.

Before joining the workshop, please take note of a few important details to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:

Maximum 8 participants
To guarantee a personal and exclusive atmosphere, each session is reserved for a private group and limited to a maximum of 8 participants.
No experience necessary
The activity is designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike; you’ll be guided step by step by our masters.
Dress code
Closed shoes and jeans are mandatory for your safety inside the furnace.
Children policy
For security reasons, kids under 14 years old can attend for free, but they are not allowed to handle hot glass.

from Venice – line 12, 3, 4.1, 4.2 – stop ‘Murano Faro’.

from Burano, Vignole, Treporti, Punta Sabbioni – line 12, 13 – stop ‘Murano Faro’.

Get off at the ‘MURANO FARO’ stop and walk a couple of minutes on the right, past the lighthouse, along the bank Sn Giovanni dei Battuti to house number 4B.
Our furnace is called ‘Original Murano Glass OMG’.

Want to travel by water taxi?

We can also organise a water TAXI service to take you directly to our glassworks from your location in Venice.
The cost is approximately 100euro for a maximum of 10 people (to be paid directly to the taxi driver on board, we do not charge for the service). We have a reserved landing in front of the entrance to the glassworks. If you decide to book a TAXI our customer support will contact you for organisational details.
